LonelyIsland + SNL = A Funnier America
You've probably seen a "Digital Short" from Saturday Night Live. It started with Chronicles of Narnia and has extended into a regular feature much like Robert Smigel's TV Funhouse... Only, the SNL shorts are funny. And while it is on SNL, both a comedy institution and dinosaur, it really does a good job accessing an audience that usually wouldn't tune in to the program.
Did I mention that the Digital Shorts are funny? The reason? A group of friends called "The Lonely Island" that create the digital shorts that SNL then goes distributes across the airwaves.
